An innovative solution from Hello Tailr which gives brands the ability to offer clothing alterations and repairs to their customers through an online platform has been announced as the second Seamless RE:THINK Program initiative.

The Seamless RE:THINK Program documents and amplifies circularity initiatives that are challenging business-as-usual, and we’re excited to announce the second initiative from Hello Tailr.

Launched last month, Hello Tailr’s online solution is easily integrated into a clothing brand’s existing ecommerce site, allowing customers to order repairs and alterations to their garments. Hello Tailr then manages the entire repair or alteration process using its network of experts – 72% of which are from social enterprises Second Stitch, The Social Studio and Assembled Threads, who are empowering women from diverse backgrounds, providing job opportunities, and offering skills training with formal certifications - all while ensuring ethical wages.

The solution is a game changer for smaller clothing brands in particular as it ensures they can offer their customers clothing alterations and repairs without the need to manage the process themselves. Hello Tailr’s mobile optimised widget can be easily implemented into an existing website or ecommerce site which then allows customers to place their own orders. This self-service approach eliminates the need for clothing brands to get involved in the repair process directly.

Once the order is placed, the HelloTailr customer care team handles the entire lifecycle of each order. While clothing brands get access to the repair order data, they aren’t required to be involved in the day-to-day operations of running an alterations and repairs program.
